How To Use For Cold Therapy:

  • Place gel pack in the freezer or refrigerate on a flat surface for a minimum of two hour
  • Secure the frozen gel pack in the shoulder brace

How to Use for Heat Therapy:

  • Place pack in the microwave on a paper towel or paper plate.
  • Heat at full power for 30 seconds.
  • Remove the gel pack carefully from microwave and knead to distribute heat evenly. Check for desired temperature.
  • To reheat, place the gel pack back in microwave for 10-second intervals until desired temperature is reached.
  • Secure the heated gel pack in the shoulder brace.

How to Wear:

  • Assistance may be necessary.
    • Lay the shoulder brace out on a flat surface with the interior lining facing outward and remove the adjustable straps.
    • Attach the gel pack to the brace interior with the fastener material. Position the gel pack so that the Vive logo is upright.
    • Secure the bicep strap leaving it loose enough to allow the arm to easily slip through.
    • Attach the chest strap through the top d-rings with the curved section facing downward.
    • Secure the chest strap ensuring it is loose enough to slip over the head.
    • Set the air valve to the open position.
    • Slide the arm through the bicep strap and settle the gel pack on the affected shoulder.
    • Loop the chest strap over the head and under the opposite arm, tightening with the adjustable d-ring for a secure, yet comfortable fit.
    • Fasten the bicep strap, tightening as necessary.
    • Squeeze the hand pump to inflate the compression chamber to desired level of compression. Use the release valve on the pump to reduce the level of compression.
